The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah conducted a drone attack on Israel following a rocket assault. Reports indicate that a Hezbollah drone struck a factory in the industrial area of Haifa. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed multiple drone strikes by Hezbollah, including one that successfully intercepted an Israeli Air Force aircraft, while another targeted a factory near Nahariya. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of casualties from these incidents.
Earlier, Hezbollah launched a rocket attack on the central Israeli city of Tira, injuring at least 19 people. The IDF reported that three rockets were fired at Tira, prompting warning sirens to sound in the Sharon and Dan regions, as well as in Herzliya, Ranana, Kefar Saba, Safed, and the Upper Galilee areas. Although damage was confirmed in one location, the IDF did not specify if it resulted from a direct rocket strike or shrapnel from a missile.
Dash camera footage captured an explosion in Tira during the attack, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday. Israel’s Magen David Adom Ambulance Service reported that among the injured, four suffered moderate injuries, while the rest had minor injuries, all of whom were transported to a local hospital.
Israeli media also reported that a rocket hit a building in Tira, trapping several individuals under the rubble. Fire brigade units were dispatched to the scene and managed to rescue at least eight people, some of whom were injured.
Additionally, Lebanese authorities reported that Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon resulted in the deaths of 52 individuals over the past 24 hours, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.
